What is CBD (Cannabidiol)?

Cannabidiol (or "CBD" as it is commonly known) is a biological compound that comes from the flowers, leaves, and stalks of hemp plant or Sativa cannabis. The hemp plant interacts naturally with the body's neurological endocannabinoid network to transmit therapeutic effects to cells across the entire body by using key fatty acids. Hemp-based CBD extracts should not be confused with CBD from marijuana, these are not derived from the same plant. – all of our Full Spectrum CBD products contain CBD extracted from organic hemp.

Is CBD Oil Legal?

The federal Farm Bill made CBD taken from hemp legal in December 2018.

Since then, you have probably noticed a sharp rise in CBD products. One of the most popular products is CBD gummies. Gummy candies have been around since the 1920s and have remained popular since then.

All products must containing less than 0.3 percent THC.

Will Using CBD get Me "High"?

CBD is a non-intoxicating compound for the hemp plant. All products must contain less than 0.3 percent THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol). There is no “weed high” when using our products but most our customers do experience what is know as the “entourage effect” a synergistic feeling that is sure to calm the nerves.

How long does it take for me to experience the effects of CBD?

The experience of CBD will very per individual depending on weight, height, body mass and quantity of CBD taken. Because CBD is non-intoxicating there is no “weed high” feeling. Start gradually and increase usage amount with serving until desired results are achieved

What are Cannabinoids?

Cannabinoids are biological compounds naturally occurring within Cannabis sativa plants; however, they are can also found in other organic sources and produced within the human body. Cannabinoids are fatty compounds that play a vital role within our immune and central nervous system.

Why is the hemp plant different from marijuana?

Marijuana and Hemp come from the same biological family, Cannabis sativa. The main difference between the two is their level of Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) Marijuana containing illegal amounts of the psychotropic cannabinoid. According to the Agricultural Act of 2014, American legislation describes legal hemp plants as containing less than 0.3 percent THC.

Do I need a medical marijuana card or doctor’s prescription?

Kula products contain hemp-based CBD and federally legal to be purchased anywhere in the U.S. without a medical marijuana card or doctor's prescription. Please check your local laws to verify if CBD is legal in your state.

Will using CBD oil show up on a drug test?

Our CBD products are manufactured from hemp plants containing less than 0.3% THC, there can still be trace amounts. A higher that usual amount of THC may lead to a positive drug test for THC, as it can with any product made from hemp. If this is of concern, we advise speaking with your employer or doctor before use.
